Skills for Londoners

The Mayor of London and the Greater London Authority (GLA) are committed to investing in free adult skills courses to empower Londoners with the tools they need to thrive in a rapidly changing job market. By providing accessible education and training opportunities, the programmes aim to reduce inequality, boost employment, and ensure that all Londoners, regardless of background, can build the skills needed to succeed in today's economy.There are a range of adult skills opportunities available across London. All programmes ensure everyone has the chance to learn and grow.

We support the following programmes

Adult Skills Fund

Fully funded education and training for adults aged 19+ London resident.

Excludes apprenticeships
o
Mainly Level 2 (GCSE equiv) and below.
o
Supports Londoners in low-paid work and unemployed to find good jobs.
o
Courses vary from six weeks to two years.

London Multiply

Supporting Londoners to get the numeracy confidence and skills to access good work or further learning and help them with the financial pressures that so many are facing.
300 free numeracy courses run in partnership with employers, schools and community organisations.

Mayor Skills Academy Hubs

We focus on the Health & Social Care Academy Hubs.

The hubs bring together employers, education and training providers, alongside sector bodies to create clear pathways into employment for Londoners.

They also offer of training, work experience and general guidance for people looking to access jobs and skills opportunities.
